Advocacy
The Somali Women and Child Care Association (SWCCA) focuses on advocating for the rights and welfare of women and children in Somalia.
SWCCA works tirelessly to address the unique challenges faced by Somali women and children, including poverty, inequality, and limited access to education and healthcare.
SWCCA aims to empower women and promote gender equality by advocating for policy changes and implementing programs that support women’s rights.
SWCCA works closely with local communities, government agencies, UN and international organizations to create a safe and conducive environment for women and children. One of the key areas of focus for SWCCA is child care. We recognize the importance of providing quality care and support for Somali children, particularly those who are orphaned, displaced, or affected by conflict.
SWCCA works to create child-friendly spaces, promotes early childhood development programs, and advocates for policies that protect the rights of children.
Additionally, SWCCA is involved in various advocacy campaigns to raise awareness about gender-based violence, child marriage, female genital mutilation, and other harmful practices affecting women and children in Somalia.
They work towards changing social norms and attitudes that perpetuate these actions and collaborate with stakeholders to provide support and resources for survivors.
Overall, the Somali Women and Child Care Association plays a vital role in promoting the rights and well-being of women and children in Somalia through advocacy, policy changes, and program implementation.
Their work contributes to the empowerment of women, the protection of children, and the overall development of Somali society.
