Job Summary:
The Project Registrars will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and documentation related to cash-based interventions implemented by SWCCA in Baidoa. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management:

  • Maintain a comprehensive register of cash beneficiaries, transactions, and disbursements.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date recording of financial data, including receipts and expenditures.
  • Organize and manage project documentation, including contracts, agreements, and beneficiary lists.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare regular reports on cash transactions, fund utilization, and project expenses.
  • Support in the preparation of financial reports for donors and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with SWCCA’s financial procedures and donor requirements.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of project records to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to improve data collection and reporting processes.
  • Identify and address discrepancies or errors in project documentation promptly.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Collaborate with project managers, finance officers, and field staff to streamline data collection and reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including donors, auditors, and community members.
  • Provide support during audits and evaluations, facilitating access to project documentation as needed.

Capacity Building:

  • Train project staff and partners on data management protocols, financial record-keeping, and reporting standards.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and transparency in project operations.
  • Support in the development and implementation of improved data management systems and tools.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data management, financial record-keeping, or administrative roles.
  • Experience working with cash-based interventions or financial projects is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with humanitarian or development organizations preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Fluency in English and Somali (written and spoken) is required.
