CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT PREVENTION AWARENESS AND EMERGENCY CASH DISTRIBUTION TO 50 VULNERABLE WOMEN IDPS IN MIDNIMO UMBRELLA CAMP –KAXDA DISTRICT.

SWCCA conducted child abuse and neglect prevention awareness andemergency cash distribution to 50 Vulnerable Women IDPs in Midnimoumbrella camp –Kahda District with children below 10 years in order for
them to manage their daily basic requirements in June 2017.
SWCCA staff conducted a one on one training and awareness to the women IDPs regarding the prevention and dangers of child abuse and neglect.

Cash assistance was distributed to the women so as to take care of their children.SWCCA did not have the capacity to satisfy all the needs of the IDPs women butthe cash distribution was successful as they divided the little that its boardmembers contributed towards the affected IDP women.
A total of 50 IDP women with children below 10 years benefited from the cashdistribution as each one of the women received 50$ in order to cater for their basic needs and to provide food items for their children.
