Yesterday, SWCCA, in collaboration with United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia – UNSOM , commemorated International Human Rights Day as part of the 16 Days of Activism through a panel discussion with the IDP community in South Galkayo. During the event, the community shed light on the prevalence of gender-based violence (GBV) in Galkayo and the limited services available to GBV survivors. They called for urgent intervention to address these challenges.

The community expressed their gratitude to SWCCA for implementing the protection project supported by SHF for backing this important initiative. For many attendees, this was their first exposure to the 16 Days of Activism, and they appreciated the opportunity to learn and share experiences on this significant issue.
