Representatives from UN OCHA and other partner organizations (UNICEF, SWCCA, IMC, IRC, DRC, SRC, SSWC, SPL, KAAH, PAH, and others) convened yesterday at the local government center in Galkayo, Galmudug, Somalia.

The meeting focused on developing a response plan for the flash floods that occurred on September 21st in Galkayo, which resulted in the displacement of part of the city’s population.

As a conclusion, the group agreed to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the areas impacted by the floods.
